Let’s build a selling plan around what makes your property stand out, the buyers it may appeal to and the market you’re entering.

I’m Jo Wright, a Real Estate Broker with Right At Home Realty, Brokerage, and The Wright Move Team. Before real estate, my career included leadership roles as HR Operations Director at CIBC and Overseas Divisional Director at Virgin Atlantic. That experience shapes how I work today: with careful preparation, clear communication and close attention to the people behind each decision.
For clients buying or selling luxury and executive homes across Toronto and GTA West, I bring a thoughtful, personal approach. I take time to understand your priorities, explain your options and plan the details around your property and your next chapter. You can expect straightforward advice, attentive service and a conversation that starts with listening.
Let’s start a conversation →Jo Wright explains recent fixed mortgage rate increases at Canada’s five biggest banks—and why they matter if you’re buying or renewing.
Recorded 13 October 2026. Rates and lender offers may have changed since recording.
Canada’s five biggest banks—RBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank and CIBC—have recently raised selected fixed mortgage rates. Apparently, our grocery bills weren’t providing enough excitement.
Why? Fixed rates are influenced by bond yields, so they can rise without a Bank of Canada rate hike. Yes, another moving part. How lovely.
If you’re buying or renewing, higher rates can mean bigger payments and less room in your budget. If you’re already locked into a fixed rate, your rate stays put until your term ends.
Compare offers and ask your mortgage professional about a rate hold. Loyalty is lovely—but your bank isn’t coming round to help pay the bills.

Absolutely. You don’t need to have a moving date in mind. We can discuss your options and what preparing a home for sale might involve.
